Full history
One connection per site, not one per sensor
Each Alephius Edge sensor measures and transmits to the on-site gateway. The gateway sends everything to Alephius Cloud over WiFi or 4G, and from there to the live dashboard and the history. Trucks report location and temperature directly over their tracker’s 4G.
From deviation to the right person’s WhatsApp
When a unit goes out of range, Alephius Assist alerts whoever needs to act on WhatsApp, with instructions, and logs the response. If the problem continues, it escalates.
No connection, no data lost
If the internet goes down, the gateway stores readings in its memory and sends them when the connection is back. Sensors also keep their own, and the server backs up every data point before processing it. Trucks do not depend on that connection: they keep reporting over their own 4G.
Monitoring stays on when it matters most
During a power outage, the sensors keep running on battery, and so does the gateway. Alephius sees the units warming up and alerts before any stock is lost.

What teams ask before rolling out
What do the sensors measure in the warehouse?
Temperature and relative humidity. Alephius Edge sensors are placed by zone (freezer rooms, cold rooms, anterooms and dry storage), transmit to one gateway per building and have a 5-year battery.
Does each sensor need its own SIM card or data line?
No. Alephius Edge sensors are wireless and transmit to an Alephius gateway installed on site, and only the gateway connects to the internet, over the site WiFi or 4G. A store with ten refrigeration units uses one gateway and one connection; a large warehouse adds gateways based on floor area, not on the number of sensors.
What about the trucks?
Truck trackers are the exception: they carry their own GPS and 4G because they travel, with up to 30 days of rechargeable battery. They can be placed on and removed from third-party trucks with no technical work.
What happens to the data if the internet or power goes out?
Nothing is lost. Each sensor stores more than ten days of readings in its memory, the gateway holds what it receives while it is offline, and the platform backs up every data point it receives. During a power outage, the gateway keeps running on its battery.
Does Alephius work with thousands of sensors?
Yes. Clients are running 1,000 sensors and the platform has been tested with tens of thousands. Each site adds its own gateways, so going from ten to a thousand stores does not change the architecture or multiply the connectivity cost per sensor.
Can the records be used for quality audits?
Yes. The history of each unit, the alerts, who responded to each one and when are all logged and can be exported as reports. Alephius records have already been presented in laboratory audits.
